Ben is from Utah and is currently a senior with a major in bioinformatics and a minor in computer science. He loves playing soccer, skiing, camping, and other outdoor activities.
Ben is currently developing Python software called DeuteRater, which is designed to calculate and graph kinetic curves for lipids and proteins labeled with heavy water. After graduating, Ben plans on pursuing a PhD related to bioinformatics and is interested in exploring how machine/deep learning can be utilized to push the field forward.
