Bryson Leary, originally from Salem, Utah, is a sophomore studying Molecular Biology with a minor in Healthcare Leadership. He is passionate about scientific exploration, particularly in the areas of aging and neurodegenerative diseases. Outside of academics, Bryson enjoys backpacking, boating, and spending time with family.
Currently, Bryson is investigating how mitophagy inducers impact the lifespan of C. elegans to identify potential treatments for Alzheimer’s disease and the broader effects of aging. He is also researching the effects of targeted gene acetylation on lifespan.
With plans to pursue an MD/PhD in gene therapy, Bryson aims to lead research initiatives and clinical trials to bring transformative therapies to patients.
