Using isotope labeling and LC/MS-MS, I measure the turnover rates and abundances of lipid species in biological samples. This method helps uncover unique metabolic features in pathological conditions. Currently, I am applying this technique to study genotypes that modulate the risk of Alzheimer's disease.
