Noah Moran is from Grand Haven, MI and is a senior in biochemistry. He enjoys playing most sports, camping, hiking, spending time with friends and family, and participating in his religion.
Noah, under his graduate student Nathan Zuniga, is researching an Alzheimer's disease risk gene called ApoE. He uses proteomics and mass spectrometry to measure the effects on the mouse proteome of the ApoE4 allele relative to the ApoE3 allele. In the past he has done research on data-independent acquisition as it compares to data-dependent acquisition in mass spectrometry.
Noah plans on getting a PhD in biochemistry or a related program and joining the research community in industry to understand and combat human diseases.
