Benjamin Chipman
Ben Chipman is a chemistry major from Eagan Minnesota. His research has been on the Catalytic Dehydrogenation of Ammonia Borane. He is interested in this research as it pertains to clean energy in the use of hydrogen fuel cells. Most of his in the Stowers lab has been spent building and testing Metal Organic Framework catalysts for this reaction. In his spare time he enjoys skiing, climbing and reading. He is currently working towards a career in data analytics after graduation, and possibly an MBA.

Robert Ellis
Robert Ellis worked in the Stower's lab beginning December 2019. He is currently researching catalysts for AB hydrolysis and is also interested in physical chemistry and spectroscopy. He graduated in April 2021 with a BS in Chemistry, and is planning on graduate school next fall. He is originally from Portland, OR, and enjoys reading, baking and swimming.

Colin Smith
Colin Smith first entered the lab in August 2020 and graduated with a Chemical Engineering degree in April of 2023. He aims for medical school post-graduation and currently investigates the performance of catalysts in oxidative dehydrogenation projects. When not in the lab, he enjoys skiing (water and snow), hiking, singing, and reading fantasy.

Lindsey Alder
Lindsey graduated in Chemical Engineering at BYU in 2023, working with the Stowers lab since October 2018. She worked on the AB hydrolysis project studying MOF structures and how they influence the activity of our catalysts. She enjoys research that utilizes characterization with X-ray diffraction. In her free time she enjoys painting, playing the piano, and trying new foods!

Hans Anderson
Hans is a 3rd year graduate student in the Stowers lab. He specializes in MOF thin films, MOF mediated synthesis, and in situ Heterogeneous catalytic mechanisms. When not growing crystals and troubleshooting the UHV chamber, Hans spends his time with his beloved wife Valerie and their sons Gideon and Bruce.
