Hillary Owuor

After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, I started off my masters in Analytical Chemistry in Kenya. I am currently pursuing my PhD in Analytical Chemistry at BYU. I am in the Austin lab exploring particle-surface adhesion. I am working on understanding the uncertainties in measuring particle-surface adhesion and coming up with a model to measure these forces with precision.

Amina Chollom

Amina Mohammed Chollom is a graduate student in the Austin lab. She holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto State, Nigeria. She worked at the National Space Research and Development Agency, Center for Atmospheric Research Anyagba Kogi State, Nigeria for over 6 years before moving to the USA for her PhD in Analytical chemistry. As a graduate student, she will be working to understand how soot particle adhesion to surfaces affects humans and the atmosphere using a high-speed rotor.

Brandon Judd

I am currently a senior pursuing BAs in both Chemistry and German here at BYU and have been working in Dr. Austin's lab for just over a year. My hometown is Alpine, UT, my family consists of four siblings (younger) and two parents (older), and I served a German-speaking church mission in Berlin. I love hiking, running, skiing, and most things outdoors, and plan to attend grad school in a STEM field after completing my undergraduate studies.
